open letter to Aviation and Aerospace inustry in Los Angeles

An open letter to the aviation and aerospace industry of Los Angeles
A world class aviation maintenance training facility in Los Angeles is in danger of being shut down.
We are seeking support from the A&A community to shore up a multi million dollar facility that needs help to keep it from deteriorating. WLACC was built for aviation maintenance and should remain so. The property and facility needs to be maximized to its full potential for it to stay as an aviation training center. The industry and supporting companies could benefit from the use of the facility. Presently through lack of leadership the facility is underutilized .
The primary purpose of the facility is a part 137 FAA certified school. Which with increasing demand for Airframe and Powerplant mechanics well into the next decade, is reason enough to keep the program alive. This strong demand will program and facility a core purpose and proper financial footing.
Other then its core as an A&P facility it has potential to be used by the industry for A&A technical training sessions, simulator training and aviation "fam" classes as well as NASA STD related training .Add to that both community classes for both children and adults.. A burst of energy from the Los Angeles Aviation and Aerospace community will quickly turn this program around and keep a much needed aviation and aerospace facility right here in Los Angeles. The Aviation Club at West LACC will be outreaching and marketing to the A&A community to try work together to save this facility
Please post comments thank you.
Support and save WEST LACC A&P program
